NAWAB BAHADUR YAR JUNG

Nawab Bahadur Yar lung was born on February 3, 1905 at Hyderabad (Deccan) in an old Jagirdar family.

Nawab Bahadur Yar lung earned the honorific title of 'Quaid-e-Millat' by virtue of his services in the struggle for Pakistan and for the cause of the Muslim League.

He was privately tutored at home in Arabic exegesis and Hadith, he was a divinely gifted orator who could sway hundreds of thousands of souls at will. He was given the title of 'Nawab Bahadur Yar lung'by the Nizam of Hyderabad on account of his noble character and his great qualities of leadership.

Nawab Bahadur Yar Jung travelled in the Middle East and Afghanistan to apprise himself of the condition of Muslims there. In 1927, he established an Islamic proselytising group to count
