Reverence To The Holy Prophet

A Second Advice on How to Show Reverence to the Prophet

I have heard many religious scholars who, while delivering sermons, call the Holy Prophet by his name only (Mohammad). This is heresy/infidelity.

The infidels did not believe in his Prophethood and called him by his name only. So if we also call him by his name only even after believing in his Prophethood, we shall be guilty of following the tradition of the infidels and not that of the Momin.

The Quran Says:

(And Mohammad is but a Rasool “Messenger”)

Similarly in Kalima:

(There is no deity but He and Muhammad Rasool Allah is the Messenger of Allah)

If we can become true followers/Muslims by calling him by name only, we should stop calling him a Rasool (messenger) in the Kalima and see how can we be purified of moral depravities? How could we be Muslims without believing in his prophethood? Even if we say with his name 'May God's blessing and peace be upon him' or 'Mustafa' or use some other appellation, we can neither be Muslims, nor Momin till we believe him to be a Rasool (a messenger). That's why we go mad with rage when we listen to a Naat (encomium on the Holy Prophet) or speeches/sermons using only the first name of the Prophet in religious gatherings and conferences. This (calling the Holy Prophet by his first name alone) is a grave irreverence to him. This amounts to blasphemy.

When we mention or address a Maulvi (a cleric) we say, for instance, Hazrat, Maulana, Allama, The Nightingale of Pakistan the eloquent speaker, the dialectician (or crusader) of Islam etc. So, if we can use such elaborate titles and so grand honorifics for a Maulvi, why can't we show respect and reverence to the Messenger of Allah?

It is therefore humbly submitted that the authorities that-be make sure that first all over the world, and if not in the world at least in Pakistan, the Prophet be called, as a token of our profound reverence for him, Muhammad Rasool Allah the Messenger of Allah, (peace is on him).

We cannot say "peace be on him, because, it would imply that so far he is deprived of that divine peace and blessing, and therefore, it would be a serious disrespect and disrespect / sacrilege is a curse unforgivable.

Prayer: May Allah & His Prophet Rasool Allah grant us the blessing to show them due deference and reverence.

Note: In order to have a thorough understanding of these issues, read them at least seven times. You can grasp them only then.

Establish prayers and ask questions about the injunctions of Shariat in unison with one another. If you wish to learn more about the manners you should better arrange a meeting with the author.
