Reverence To The Holy Prophet

How to show respect to the Prophet?

A prayer-mat is spread for offering prayers or for a Maulana when he is delivering a sermon or for a pir (spiritual leader) to sit on. Just imagine! these prayer-mats have pictures or drawings of places like the Holy Kaaba, the Mausoleum of the Holy Prophet or Jerusalem printed on them. Is not it a grave sin to offer prayers while standing on a prayer-mat bearing a picture of the Holy Mausoleum of the Prophet when God Himself has sworn by its sanctity.

A person wouldn't hesitate to shoot anyone who tries to trample the picture of his father under his feet. We do not tolerate an insult to the picture of an ordinary, humble human, but we are proud to trample the image of the Holy Mausoleum under our feet while offering prayers. This is such a grave disrespect that even subsequent  repentance is of  no  use. In my opinion some very irreligious person must have initiated or ordered the printing of these  images  on  the prayer-mats, because in the opinion of such a person, a Muslim cannot be defeated and ruined unless he  is guilty of showing  disrespect to the Holy Prophet. So, in order to bring about the ruination of the Muslims, they must be made to commit disrespect to the Holy Prophet, though unintentionally. Thus, people will buy prayer-mats with the image of the Holy Mausoleum printed on regarding it as something prestigious, put it under their feet while offering prayers and thus become guilty of blasphemy and ultimately face condemnation and ruination.

It is my opinion that the images of the Holy Mausoleum or other Holy places should not be printed on prayer-mats and prayers should be offered on a plain mat. A personal visit is must to find out how to show proper veneration to the Prophet of Allah.

All the bounties and blessings of Allah are meant f the Momin (true believer). God enjoins in the Quran.

(indeed Allah has made it obligatory for the Momins to believe in the Advent of the Holy Prophet)

At another place the Quran says:

(We send down (stage by stage) in the Quran that which is healing and a mercy to those who believe)

There is a saying of the Holy Prophet:

(Salat is the ascension of the Momineen “the believers”)

In short all the bounties are for the Momineen (true believers). But if we are not Momin, how can we deserve the mercy of the Prophet.

Leading prayers without being a Momin is heresy. A person who tells lies, uses foul language and then leads prayers also, is guilty of making a mockery of the Shariat (teachings) of the Holy Prophet. Nobody can lead prayers by virtue of being only a Muslim. A Momin (a true believer) alone can lead prayers. Therefore anyone who desires to lead prayers must become a Momin first. I have seen even persons who commit sodomy within the premises of a mosque and yet they act as Imams (lead prayers). How could prayers be offered in a place where sodomy or adultery is committed? Yet people continue to offer prayers inside such mosques. It follows that in such cases neither the leader nor the followers of prayers are Momin (true believer).
